AUSTRALIAN MAXI CHAMPIONSHIP

The Australian Maxi Championship brings together Australia’s leading 60-100 foot racing yachts for a multi-day series of high-performance inshore and offshore racing on Sydney Harbour and the surrounding coastline. The championship combines up to six races, including the SOLAS Big Boat Challenge, with crews competing across a mix of short, tactical courses and longer offshore racing.

With some of Australia’s most powerful Maxi yachts competing, the championship is a showcase of speed, precision, strategy and boat handling. Close-quarters racing on Sydney Harbour places enormous pressure on crews, while the longer races demand endurance and tactical consistency across changing conditions.

Moneypenny enters the 2026 Australian Maxi Championship with a strong record, having finished 3rd overall in both the 2024 and 2025 Australian Maxi Championships. The 2026 campaign provides another opportunity to challenge the country's leading Maxi teams and push for a place at the top of the podium.
