CABBAGE TREE ISLAND & AUSTRALIAN MAXI CHAMPS

The Cabbage Tree Island Race is one of Australia’s most iconic offshore challenges, taking the fleet of 76 yachts on a fast and tactical run up the NSW coast and around the rugged Cabbage Tree Island before returning to Sydney, totaling 172 nautical miles. It’s the last race of the Audie Centre Blue Water Pointscore and also forms part of the Australian Maxi Championships.

Running alongside this, the Australian Maxi Championships bring together the country’s most powerful 60-100ft racing yachts for a spectacular series of inshore and offshore battles. Expect close-quarters racing, dramatic boat handling, and the raw speed that only a maxi can deliver. It consists of up to 6 races, including the SOLAS Big Boat Challenge on the final day.

Together, these events offer an incredible mix of strategy, endurance, and high-performance sailing.
